Acne in babies
Tip:
If you are seeing a
dermatologist and are
receiving prescriptions,
make sure that
your
physician/dermatologist
is aware of any current
or past
medical
conditions.
Infantile acne
generally affects the cheeks and some times the forehead and the
chin of the baby.
This acne occurs in children aged one to six years.
It is more
common in boys than girls and it is usually mild to moderate.
In
most children it settles down within few months.
Like acne in adults the origin of infantile acne is to be
hormonal.
The
hormone is particularly the androgens of adrenal.
Tip:
Wash your pillowcase
often, and always use
clean face towels.
