Acne in teens

You haven’t done any thing to cause your acne. Almost all teenagers get acne at one time or another.

The main reason of acne in teens is the increased level of a male hormone called testosterone, found in both males and females. Testosterone is partly responsible for physical development in young people.

In the case of acne, teens are different .They may have a severe or mild case which depends on the level of the hormones and the production of oil in the skin.

Some oils from certain cosmetics, facial scrubs and tanning or hair products may aggravate acne in teenagers.

The period of acne in teenagers may vary from 5 to 10 years.

Some teenagers may suffer from acne even after being an adult.

  Tip: Tight clothing will cause the sweat and oil to
                be absorbed into your skin more then it needs
                to be.
